As part of a European Social Fund project in conjunction with Lincolnshire and Rutland Learning and Skills Council, Lantra is currently running a fully funded initiative aimed at supporting those employed within the land-based sector .
If you want to try a new enterprise, manage the risks involved with a new or recent business venture – Lantra can help! In short, training can improve your business profitability.
To take advantage of this opportunity, you must be:
- 16 – 64 years old
- Employed within the land-based sector within a small to medium sized enterprise (less than 250 employees)
- Living in the Lincolnshire and Rutland area
- Not currently engaged in learning
- Not employed in the public sector
Whether you are involved in agriculture, horticulture or a land-based business, your world is evolving and changing. Your business could look to diversify into other areas, for example:
- Bed and breakfast accommodation
- Use of land for recreation and leisure pursuits
- Retail
- And many more … you can be creative!
Initially, we will identify what the training needs that would help make your new business venture more profitable. This will be carried out to establish which skills are most beneficial to each individual business to grow and diversify, and following this, training will be arranged through Lincoln University where possible.
